Pre-Owned Chanel Vintage Classic Small Double Flap in Black Lambskin with 24K Gold Plated Hardware

This beautiful vintage Chanel is the most sought-after size and very hard to find in vintage with 24k gold-plated hardware, in such good condition for its age.

The serial number (16*****) denotes this bag to be of 1990 manufacture, making it a '1 series' - the second 'series' of Chanel bags to carry a serial number. Serial numbers were introduced in 1986, and the next series after this bag's era (serials starting with 2) were from 1991-1994.

This beautiful piece comes with dustbag, box, authenticity card, serial sticker intact and certificate of authenticity from an independent authenticator.

It is in very good vintage condition with expected signs of use for a bag of 35+ years. Buttery smooth leather, very clean bordeaux leather interior, the exterior shows some rubbing at the edges and corners and has had some retouching which is very common of a bag of this age. The 24k gold plating on the exterior of the lock and eyelets are very good. The GHW on the strap is pristine, so may have been re-plated in its time.
